Whether you're driving into the city or flying in and need to secure an airport transfer, I'm here to help!
In my experience, the roads in Prague are similar to most European cities with its bumpy cobblestone roads, small lanes, and mild traffic navigating throughout the city. I personally was not the biggest fan of driving in Prague, but it was nowhere near as stressful as driving in somewhere like Paris or Rome! On a scale of 1-10 of driving in Central and Western European cities, 10 being the worst, I'd rate driving in Prague as a 6.5/10 whereas I would rate driving in Paris a 9.5/10. Whichever you decide to do, either drive or get around the city by the metro, you can choose below between a safer option or... the braver option - take your pick!

What should I pack for my trip to Prague? I've traveled to Prague in all seasons of the year and while I wouldn't ever want to deter my fellow travelers from visiting a specific location, I tend to prefer Prague no earlier than when the Easter Markets start (mid to late March) and no later than Christmas.
The months of late December, January, February, and early March can be brutal outside and can take away from getting the most out of your Prague experience outside. Everyone has their preferences so you're welcome to arrange trips to Prague as you please! With that being said, let me help you pack for your trip by suggesting my preferred travel essentials and season appropriate clothing to enjoy Prague comfortably and safely.

1 Perfect Day in Prague
Parking: Palladium Prague Mall offers indoor parking spaces that's within reasonable distance of the city center and quite convenient if you need to purchase something along the way.
For bigger cars, especially for my fellows Americans, this parking garage is great because the spaces are large enough and have a higher clearance to fit most cars. Once you get to the gate of the garage, you'll pull a parking ticket and safeguard that ticket to pay when you're ready to leave. The parking spaces have green or red lights luminated above to indicate which spots are available or not. Parking at the Palladium mall parking garage makes planning your day trip by car to Prague so much easier!
Morning:
Your first steps into the city of Prague might start with walking into a cafe where you'll have some freshly baked bread, cakes, or pick something from the breakfast menu that usually contains meats (sausage or bacon), cheeses, and some sort of potatoes - don't forget your coffee! If you're walking from Palladium Mall parking or from the Náměstí Republiky metro stop, make your way to Bakeshop which is about a 10 minute or less walk time. Be sure to take in the architecture and really enjoy the beginning moments of the historical city. 
Next, you’ll want to head to Old Town Square – and believe me when I say: this is nothing like you’ve seen and felt before when traveling in countries that are more West in Europe.
One of the bases I used to live in Germany (Grafenwoehr) was just about 2ish hours away from Prague and I would’ve never guessed before moving there that I’d be so close to what feels like (to me) a whole other world! If you’re anything like me, you’ll appreciate the striking dark, gothic towers and interior of the Church of Our Lady before Týn. Try to get there before 10am or during a weekday evening if you want to get there before the crowds do. 
If you’re sticking around the Old Town Square for the next hour, be sure to watch the Astronomical Clock Show presentation of the 12 apostles along with animated figures representing vanity, death, greed, and lust.
If you’re not standing with the crowds staring at the clock, you’ll likely be czeching out (ha, see what I did there) the churches, galleries, monuments or enjoying some eateries. Whether you’re wanting this part of the day to be relaxed and go with the flow, or a bit more organized and on a schedule, you'll love what the Old Town Square has to offer on any given day. Next, is favorite place to take in the city views - Charles Bridge.
Listen to the crowd talking all sorts of languages, laughing and drinking together, and enjoying the arts whether it's musicians or checking out artists painting or drawing. Spend as little or as much time here before heading over to the next spot. 
Afternoon:
Next up is only for those who are not claustrophobic or who struggle with small spaces and larger crowds - I'm talking about the tiniest street in Prague that you can only pass through when the little green man is lit up!
While you're walking pass the crowds, grab a Trdelník as you make your way to the John Lennon wall for some reflection or just great conversation with others who also appreciate art.

Before dinner, don't forget to spend some time at the largest medieval royal residence in all of Europe - Prague Castle. Check out the courtyards and discover the history that has preserved the castle within.

Český Krumlov and Karlovy Vary are both great towns to visit for a day trip from Prague.
For a more fairytale vibe, you may be interested in taking a day trip to Český Krumlov where you can wander through the lower medieval town's stone passages lined with gothic houses, craft shops, and local alchemy exhibits. You especially don't want to miss out on wooden raft river cruise and the postcard views of the entire valley with its horseshoe bend of the Vitava River!
